Supalai Mare

Supalai Mare, officially Supalai Mare Pattaya, is a high-rise residential development on Thepprasit Road, between Jomtien and South Pattaya. It was built by Supalai Public Company Limited, a listed Thai developer, and completed in 2016. Supalai Mare condominium in Jomtien, Pattaya consists of a 35-storey tower with 1,154 units, adjoined by a three-storey building with shops and a clubhouse and a six-storey car park. The site covers about 7 rai, and a nautical theme of ships, sails and lighthouses runs through the architecture and the grounds.

Location

Thepprasit is one of the city's main cross-town roads: westwards it leads to Thappraya Road and Jomtien Beach, eastwards to Sukhumvit Road. The sea is about 1.5 km away, the nearest stretch of sand being where Jomtien Beach meets Dongtan Beach, so most residents go by motorbike, taxi or car rather than on foot. Sukhumvit Road is roughly 2 km in the other direction, where you will find Thepprasit Night Market, the outlet mall and the Lotus's and Big C hypermarkets. A 7-Eleven, a local market, cafés and the Colosseum Show theatre are close to the building, and Pratumnak Hill with its Big Buddha is a few minutes' drive to the north-west.

Apartments

There are three main layouts: studios of 32 sq m, one-bedroom apartments of 45 to 45.5 sq m and two-bedroom apartments of 72 sq m. More Property's catalogue includes a 72 sq m unit. The tower stands well above the surrounding buildings, so the upper floors enjoy views of the sea, the city and the hills, while lower floors look over the grounds and the neighbouring streets. Supalai Mare is an urban kind of home: a large building with a full set of its own facilities, equally convenient for Jomtien, Pratumnak and South Pattaya. It suits people who live in Pattaya permanently or for long periods and want a pool, a gym and shops in the same complex, as well as owners planning to let on a long-term basis. If walking to the beach matters to you, bear the distance in mind. The scale is worth noting too: this is a very large community, and there are noticeably fewer parking spaces than apartments. As in any Thai condominium, up to 49% of the total unit area can be registered in foreign freehold ownership (the foreign quota); the rest falls under the Thai quota or is held through a company.
