Jomtien Complex Condotel

Jomtien Complex Condotel is a pair of twin high-rise towers on Thappraya Road, at the entrance to Jomtien from the Pratumnak Hill side. The complex was completed in 1995: its two 39-storey buildings, A and B, contain 1118 apartments, and a whole quarter of restaurants, bars and shops has grown up at the foot of the towers. Jomtien Complex Condotel condominium in Jomtien, Pattaya is a high-rise of the older generation, with large apartments and sea views from the upper floors. No reliable information about the developer could be found in public sources.

Location

The towers stand about 50 m from Thappraya Road, the main road that links Jomtien with South Pattaya and Walking Street over Pratumnak Hill and carries the songthaew route. On the map Dongtan Beach is about 250 m away in a straight line (portals quote 200 m); it is a calm stretch of coast with a shaded pedestrian promenade. The Jomtien Complex quarter itself is a lively spot: restaurants, bars, pharmacies, a bank branch and 7-Eleven stores operate on the ground floors and in the neighbouring buildings. View Talay 7 and Jomtien Plaza Condotel are close neighbours, and about 200 m to the south-west the Jomtien beach road begins, with its long strip of sand.

Apartments

The towers contain studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments and large three- and four-bedroom units. Floor areas are noticeably bigger than in modern projects: the apartment in More Property's catalogue, for example, is 66 sq m. Upper floors have views of the sea and the city. The building is about thirty years old and the condition of apartments varies, so the renovation, air conditioning and appliances should be assessed unit by unit rather than for the building as a whole.

Who it suits

The complex suits people who want to live in a busy part of Jomtien and manage without their own transport: the beach, cafes, shops and the songthaew route are all within walking distance. The spacious layouts work for permanent living and long winter stays, while the proximity of the beach and the main road keeps tenants interested. If you value quiet, look at the upper floors: the quarter at the foot of the towers has many bars and is busy in the evenings. In Thai condominiums up to 49% of the total unit area can be registered in foreign ownership (the foreign quota); the rest is held under the Thai quota or through a company.
