Laguna Beach resort 1

Laguna Beach Resort 1 (officially Laguna Beach Resort Jomtien) is the first of three resort-style complexes that Heights Holdings built in Jomtien under the Laguna Beach Resort name. Completed in 2015, it consists of 3 buildings of 8 storeys each with 660 apartments. Laguna Beach Resort 1 condominium in Jomtien, Pattaya is the most compact project in the series and the closest to the sea: a low-rise resort-style development where everything revolves around a central lagoon pool.

Location

The complex stands in a side street off Jomtien Second Road (shown on maps as Soi 7), about 350 m from the main road, where songthaews run towards central Pattaya. Jomtien Beach is about 700 m away in a straight line. Marketing descriptions often quote 400 m, but a map measurement gives a longer distance — a walk, or a short ride by motorbike. A Lotus's go fresh supermarket sits near the turn onto Second Road, and the beach road has cafes, restaurants and the Jomtien Night Market, about 600 m from the complex. The Underwater World aquarium and the Thepprasit Night Market are roughly 2 km away, and Walking Street is 3.6 km in a straight line. The two other complexes in the series, Laguna Beach Resort 2 and Laguna Beach Resort 3 Maldives, are close by but are separate projects.

Facilities

The courtyard between the buildings is given over almost entirely to water and greenery, with cars kept below ground.

Apartments

Studios and one-bedroom apartments dominate at Laguna Beach Resort 1, with some two-bedroom units as well. Studios start at around 25 sq m and one-bedroom apartments are about 45–51 sq m; listings in the More Property catalogue range from 29 to 50 sq m. The buildings are low and surrounded by other development, so sea views should not be expected: windows face either the pool and garden or the neighbouring streets and buildings. It is worth deciding early which matters more, a lagoon outlook or the quieter outer side.

Who it suits

Laguna Beach Resort 1 works for holidays, seasonal living and renting out: compact apartments, resort-style grounds and a beach within walking distance make sense to owners and tenants alike. It suits couples and families with children who want a pool with slides and a guarded courtyard, and people who spend the winter in Pattaya. Buyers who need a large floor area or a sea view should look at the high-rise buildings nearer the shore.
