The Edge

The Edge, marketed in full as EDGE Central Pattaya, is a high-rise condominium by the well-known Thai developer Sansiri. It was completed in October 2021 as a single tower of 31 storeys with 603 units on a plot of about 2 rai. The Edge condominium in Central Pattaya stands on Second Road, a few minutes' walk from the beach and the city's main shopping malls, and its signature feature is a rooftop pool overlooking the bay.

Location

The tower is on Pattaya Second Road, at the corner of Soi 13, also known as Soi Diana. Pattaya Beach is about 400 m away, a walk of five to seven minutes. The Avenue and Mike Shopping Mall are each roughly 200 m from the door, Central Festival Pattaya Beach is about 450 m away and Royal Garden Plaza about 500 m, while Walking Street is around 1 km to the south. Songthaews (shared pick-up taxis) run along Second Road all day, so getting around the centre does not require your own transport. The area is lively year-round, with restaurants, cafés, shops and nightlife starting right outside the building.

More Property currently lists a 50 sq m apartment here. Depending on floor and aspect, windows face the city or Pattaya Bay, and the outlook opens up the higher you go. The building is recent, so the layouts are contemporary, and with only one tower the choice comes down to the floor, the direction the windows face and the size of the unit.

Who it suits

The Edge is for people who want to live right in the centre and do without a vehicle: the beach, the malls and plenty of restaurants are within walking distance. It is considered both as a home and as a rental property, since a location in the heart of the tourist district is easy for tenants to understand. Buyers looking for peace and greenery should bear in mind that this is a busy, densely built part of town. As in any Thai condominium, up to 49% of the total unit area can be registered in foreign freehold ownership (the foreign quota); the remainder is held under the Thai quota or through a company.
