Paradise Park, in full Paradise Park Jomtien, is a low-rise, resort-style condominium set back from the coast in Jomtien. It was built by Matrix Developments and completed in 2012: 3 buildings of 8 storeys with 507 units around a large lagoon pool and tropical garden. Paradise Park condominium in Jomtien, Pattaya is a long-established complex on the resale market, chosen for its green grounds with a pool and its compact layouts.

Location

The complex stands on Soi Bun Kanchana (also known as Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram), which runs inland from the Jomtien seafront. This is not a beachside address: Jomtien Beach is about 950 m away in a straight line and roughly 1.2 km by road, around fifteen minutes on foot or a couple of minutes by motorbike. Its neighbours are Park Lane Jomtien Resort, The Orient Resort and Spa by the same developer, and Amazon Residence, so the block is residential throughout. A Lotus's minimart, a 7-Eleven, cafés and bars are about 250 m away, and a small local fresh market is within walking distance. Jomtien Second Road, with its songthaew routes, is a few minutes' walk.

More Property currently lists a unit of 36 sq m. The buildings are low, so windows look onto the pool and gardens or towards neighbouring blocks, and sea views should not be expected. The complex was completed more than ten years ago, and the condition of individual apartments depends on how owners have looked after them, so it is worth comparing several units before deciding.

Who it suits

Paradise Park suits buyers who want a resort-style setting without paying a premium for the seafront: couples, families with children and winter residents. Small one-bedroom apartments and well-developed grounds also make it a straightforward option for seasonal letting. Keep in mind that the sea is a walk or a short ride away and that the neighbourhood is quiet, with no nightlife on the doorstep. As in any Thai condominium, up to 49% of the saleable floor area may be registered in foreign freehold ownership (the foreign quota), with the remainder held under the Thai quota or through a company.
